Ingredients
  

  • 1 large Italian bread loaf
  • 6 garlic cloves chopped small
  • 1/2 cup soft butter
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Heat oven to 400°F.
  • Cut bread into 1-inch slices.
  • Put bread on baking sheet.
  • Mix butter with chopped garlic.
  • Add olive oil to butter mix.
  • Add herbs, salt, and pepper.
  • Brush mixture on each bread slice.
  • Sprinkle cheese on top.
  • Cover with foil.
  • Bake 15 minutes covered.
  • Remove foil and bake 10 more minutes.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

  1. Use day-old bread for better texture
  2. Make sure butter is soft before mixing
