  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in Dutch oven.
  • Brown beef cubes in batches.
  • Remove beef and set aside.
  • Add onions to same pot.
  • Cook until soft and golden.
  • Add garlic and cook briefly.
  • Stir in tomato paste.
  • Return beef to the pot.
  • Add crushed tomatoes and broth.
  • Mix in all spices.
  • Bring mixture to boil.
  • Reduce heat to low.
  • Cover and simmer gently.

  • Cook for 90 minutes.
