Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Optional topping:

  • Whipped cream
  • Powdered sugar

Instructions

Prepare the Pie Crust

  • Place the pie crust in your pie dish. Press it gently to fit well. Trim the edges if needed. Use a fork to poke small holes. This helps prevent bubbles during baking.

Preheat the Oven

  • Set your oven to 175°C (350°F). Let it heat fully before baking. A properly heated oven gives even cooking and better texture for your butter pie.

Melt the Butter

  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Do not let it burn. Let it cool slightly before mixing with other ingredients.

Mix Sugars and Eggs

  • In a large bowl, add granulated sugar and brown sugar. Crack in the eggs. Whisk until the mixture becomes smooth and slightly fluffy.

Add Butter and Cream

  • Pour the melted butter into the bowl slowly. Add heavy cream next. Mix gently until everything blends well. The mixture should look creamy and thick.

Add Dry Ingredients

  • Add flour and salt into the mixture. Stir slowly to avoid lumps. Make sure everything is well combined for a smooth filling.

Add Vanilla Flavor

  • Pour in vanilla extract. Mix again until the flavor spreads evenly. This adds a warm and sweet aroma to your pie.

Fill the Pie Crust

  • Pour the filling into the prepared crust. Spread it evenly using a spatula. Do not overfill. Leave a little space at the top.

Bake the Pie

  • Place the pie in the oven. Bake for about 50 minutes. The center should be slightly soft but set. The top will turn golden.

Cool and Chill

  • Remove the pie and place it on a cooling rack. Let it cool completely. Then chill it in the fridge for at least two hours before serving.

Notes

  • Use real butter for best taste
  • Do not overbake the pie
  • Chill well before slicing
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon for extra flavor
  • Use a homemade crust for a richer taste
  • Serve with whipped cream or ice cream
