Method
- Check crab meat for shells carefully.
- Put clean crab in large bowl.
- Keep crab pieces whole if possible.
- Mix egg and mayonnaise together.
- Add mustard and Worcestershire sauce.
- Add Old Bay and pepper.
- Mix wet ingredients well.
- Add chives to mixture.
- Pour over crab meat gently.
- Add breadcrumbs to crab.
- Mix everything very carefully.
- Make six equal patties.
- Put in fridge for 15 minutes.
- Heat butter and oil in pan.
- Cook crab cakes 4 minutes.
- Flip and cook 3 more minutes.
- Serve hot and enjoy!

- Use the best crab meat you can buy for this Faidley's crab cake recipe.
- Handle crab meat very gently to keep pieces whole.
- Chill patties before cooking so they stay together.
- Cook on medium-high heat only.
- Use real Old Bay seasoning for best taste.
