This Chai Haleeb Recipe is a simple Pakistani milk tea that tastes amazing. Haleeb means milk in Arabic.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 spoons tea leaves
  • 3 spoons sugar
  • 4 cardamom pods
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • Small piece of ginger

Instructions
 

  • Crush cardamom pods with spoon.
  • Cut ginger into small pieces.
  • Boil water in pot.
  • Add all spices to water.
  • Cook spices for 2 minutes.
  • Add tea leaves to pot.
  • Boil for 3 minutes.
  • Add milk slowly.
  • Let it boil gently.
  • Cook for 8 minutes.
  • Add sugar and stir.
  • Cook 2 more minutes.
  • Strain the tea.
  • Serve hot in cups.

Notes

    • Use full-fat milk for better taste
    • Don't boil too fast or milk will spoil
    • Taste and add more sugar if needed
    • Fresh spices work better than old ones
    • Serve right away while hot
