This Applebee's broccoli recipe brings the famous restaurant taste to your kitchen. The secret is garlic butter that makes plain broccoli taste amazing.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh broccoli
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Cut broccoli into small pieces.
  • Put water in pot with steamer basket.
  • Boil the water.
  • Add broccoli to steamer basket.
  • Cover and steam for 5 minutes.
  • Remove broccoli when tender.
  • Heat oil in large pan.
  • Add chopped garlic to oil.
  • Cook garlic for 30 seconds.
  • Add butter to pan.
  • Add salt and pepper.
  • Put broccoli in pan.
  • Mix everything together gently.
  • Cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Serve right away.

Notes

  1. Don't cook broccoli too long - it should stay bright green
  2. Use fresh garlic for the best taste
  3. Serve hot for the best flavor
  4. Cut broccoli pieces the same size
  5. Mix gently so broccoli doesn't break
